We saw this chair sitting sadly at the side of the road on a cold wet night and (with the help of Rachel) we carried it back to flat. I have always wanted a wingback chair and thought this would be a fun project.
It was soaking wet, had no cushion and had clearly seen better days. Neither of us had any upholstering experience but thought this would be a good project to start. We picked up some fabric on sale at Ikea and found a cushion in the bargain bin. Sally sewed the arms in shape before I put it all together.
It was more trial and error than anything, but I think for our first upholstering project it turned out pretty good. It now sits pride of place in our living room.
wow thats so impressive! I don't have the guts to go straight in, think I'll wait for my class!
