Nardini

We finally got to visit (the world famous) Nardini's in Largs last weekend for some ice cream which was a treat.

This illustration is by Adrian McMurchie who I had the pleasure of working with recently. His website is packed full of lovely architectural and food illustrations.

Pirates

We've been a bit quiet around here but we have been busy. I just finished this treasure map for the Royal Parks Foundation. If you click on it you can make it bigger. 

Birds of Australia.

I love pictures and drawings of birds however Im real scared of them in real life.

I have an internal struggle with my patriotism for two countries, one heavily bias because of  love from a certain boy, but i would happily leap to eithers defence. But the nostalgia for australian wildlife wins this time.

It was especially fun teaching the mister all the names for the plants and birds we saw on our recent visit. Want to know what a Poinciana or Jacaranda looks like ask him.

Alice Dansey-Wright

I recently stumbled across the work of the hugely talented illustrator, and fellow Glasgow-dweller Alice Dansey-Wright. 

Not only does she have a great illustrative style, but also a great taste in baked goods!

Her blog, here, is also well worth a look.

The world definitely needs some better looking maps…

I love these illustrations lauren doughty. I would love to stick some pretty floral fabric on my real camera… watch this space. Also got two rolls of film developed i would love to share if only the husband would fix the scanner…
