silhouette sculptures.

Tim Noble and Sue Webster have created these amazingly detailed silhouette sculptures out of old wool and broken tools.

The "Nihilistic Optimistic" exhibition is currently showing at Blain Southern, London.

Ellie Davies

Absolutely loving the photography work of Ellie Davies. Her pictures seem to perfectly capture the mystical feeling you find deep in a forest.

The images bellow are from her 'The Dwelling', 'Come with me' and 'The Gloaming'  projects.

Cooked Book

How great is this edible cook book. Made out of pasta and embossed with instructions, the pages can be filled with ingredients to create a tasty looking lasagne - genius!

Coral and Tusk.

Really love these embroidery pillows from Coral and Tusk. At the top of my wish list is the tug boat pillow and the Animal wreath napkin set. I'm enjoying their fresh take on the age old craft.

Nardini

We finally got to visit (the world famous) Nardini's in Largs last weekend for some ice cream which was a treat.

This illustration is by Adrian McMurchie who I had the pleasure of working with recently. His website is packed full of lovely architectural and food illustrations.

Birds of Australia.

I love pictures and drawings of birds however Im real scared of them in real life.

I have an internal struggle with my patriotism for two countries, one heavily bias because of  love from a certain boy, but i would happily leap to eithers defence. But the nostalgia for australian wildlife wins this time.

It was especially fun teaching the mister all the names for the plants and birds we saw on our recent visit. Want to know what a Poinciana or Jacaranda looks like ask him.

Surry Hills.

After a quick stint on the tourist trail we opted to spend most our time in Sydney hanging in and around Surry Hills. Armed with a list of little shops/cafes to visit we had and excellent time getting lost in the pouring rain more than once.

I was real excited to visit the Bourke Street Bakery most of all, as i had been drooling over the pages of their cookbook for some time now. I don't know how we managed to score one of the 3 seats inside on the rainy afternoon but we made the most of it and ate as much as we could.

wooden churches.

Last week we did a bit of driving through New South Wales. We kept stumbling upon really nice, old churches dotted around the countryside and loved how different they are to the ones we find back home.

Here are some we found on our travels.

not any old vintage.

We have been in Australia for over two weeks now and have been wondering all around. One place we keep returning too is this little cafe suitably named Vintage. Its surroundings suit me just fine, the people are as friendly as friendly gets, and the treats are delicious.

I think my mum would like you to know that she is a regular here also.
